Very disappointed that no email was sent corporate wide on remembering 9/11 and celebrating our first responders. Everything else seems to be celebrated or talked about, so this is a HUGE MISS by the company.

@nj so sending out a company bulletin is gonna help us keep our guard up when its all over the news every September and in community events all over with memorials? Centene can make us safer from attacks with a bulletin? That’s ur elected officials jobs and law enforcement, military to keep national security on the forefront, not your employer.
At this point y’all are just nitpicking- finding every reason to have a gripe about the company. Today is citizenships day and national constitution day, lets send out a email honoring all american citizens and post the constitution on cnet.
Other tragedies were made mention of which were also horrifying. However, let me remind everyone that 9/11 was not an attack on a school or group pf people in a singular place.
9/11 wad a coordinated attack by te------ts on not just one location but many locations. It literally an act of war that lead to a war.
It is up there with the Civil War and Revolutionary War in our nation’s history. So, to compare those other tragedies, as bad as those were, is not really on par.
If we forget 9/11 and let our guard down, the very same thing could happen again. Remembering, is not just about remembering the fallen, although important we also do that, but it is more so to remember so it is not repeated.
@cg so you want 9/11 recognition because you were personally affected? That’s not your company’s job to honor your grief. There are many events all over, seems like you should try therapy too.

@cj in that case, you're right, we either need to send out reminder emails for EVERYTHING or NOTHING at all. Just like you think it's annoying to receive something remembering 9/11, I think it's annoying to remember every hispanic heritage month or black History month, or hawaiian month..im sure there are a plethora more i'm forgetting..🙄
@cg and we had team members whose children were part of a school shooting with lives lost a few years ago, too. Why is your uncle more important to remember than theirs? Just because more lives were lost? Should we also send an email to remember the Oklahoma city bo----g? Columbine? VT? Sandy Hook? Lord. No one is forgetting when every news channel mentions it every single year. There's no reason we need a company email about it.

As someone who lost their uncle on 9/11 I find these comments disgusting. OP I agree with you. We should always mention 9/11 every year as a remembrance for those who tragically lost their lives and for the hero’s who gave it all. We have so many other things we celebrate or remember they could at least show some support. I’m sad that my uncle lost his life saving others and people think it’s nothing to remember. I will always remember it. I will always remember when his precinct was called in. I also remember watching the towers fall and knew in my gut he wouldn’t be walking out of them. I will never forget.
@bq There is a very specific reason why you object to reminder emails of 9/11 but my guess is you are too cowardly to say.
@bq we need to keep having reminders lest we forget and let our guards down. People rarely learn from history because as time goes by, the persons who were alive at the time of the event pass away. And the next generations fail to learn in history books.
Looks like you still remembered just fine without an email. We don't need emails every year. There are plenty of other tragedies that have happened that don't get weeks of coverage every year.
Don’t hate me, but I don’t know why they would have to. It was a tragedy that affected the whole word, I agree, but don’t see the reason for the “reminder”. I was with WellCare back then. We were very sad and everyone was touched by the events of 9/11, but I don’t recall the company coming back every year to talk about it.
I personally will never forget the date for personal reasons (different loss), but again, I don’t think CNC needed to comment on it. Could they? Sure. Had to? No.
So now we're complaining that someone didn't participate in meaningless virtue signalling? Get a life, or go post on your FB page, or better yet go to Youtube and look up Anthony Jeselnik's bit on thoughts and prayers.
We have busy leaders doing important things. No time to send filler emails to ward off some hurt feelings.

Unfortunately People are starting to forget, especially the younger generation. The schools don’t even teach 9/11 in history class. Never Forget!!!
