Yeah, Layoffs - I hear some groups in marketing with not enough work to do are prime for this sort of thing.

They are using performance to make small cuts that don’t get media attention. Unfortunately, they aren’t at the LL3-4 level.
It’s death by a thousand paper cuts. As I understand, they use performance and attrition to reduce headcount. Although hiring is still happening.
Performance as the reason is interesting because they force rank people and it’s a bell curve so by nature someone is always in the bottom.
How many and when is an interesting question. Will it be prior to the end of the year for mid year review data or will they wait until final year data early next year.

The fact that this site is almost never on topic is a good thing. Indirectly means no theoretical layoffs. However, people like to let off steam here for some reason
