Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

WW Sales Town Hall Today

Amazing to listen to the sales president spin everything. Truth is Q1 is a disaster and the BOD and CEO are going to be making some major changes.

@mn , welcome back id*ot bot. We didn't miss you at all.
You forgot to mention non cloud not growing, only cloud. Revenue growing but not profit. Support is profit is down. Employee growing just to win location specific contracts but wfr everywhere else.

@jf confirmed and agreed. Q1 sales numbers are highly impressive, lots of new customer wins and the money is rolling in. Employee numbers are growing to service the new customers

@jf what do you mean wfr in October November that are set ?

@bm It is not. OT is on a two -year, BOD mandated plan which requires specific milestones. EVERY core product MUST show 2% growth, and not cumulatively across the company. There are also targets for specific areas as part of this plan, including around license, Cyber, and more. There are quarterly numbers established for each data point, and with two weeks remaining in Q1, sales is in trouble.

Expect announcements in October, WFRs in October - November (these are set), leadership "retirements" and more.

Interesting to see. However, everything I have seen and witnessed since SKO suggests Q2 & Q3 2026 will be poor based on execution in Q1. Q1 was already decided revenue wise in Q3 or Q4 last year hence it should be fair at best.
