I know an M7 who is a family friend and confirmed that huge layoffs are coming on Tuesday 9/15 in US and will be happening in pre-sales teams.

@d5 I wonder what is more likely: a troll creating the same bunch of threads about imminent layoffs every single week, same-posting in comments and now doing it again or something that never happened before now happens for the first time. Tough one.

There is no precedent of mass layoff in NA starting on the 3rd week of month. Right when vesting is ongoing.

This has been in the works awhile (~6-9 months). Span of control. There are way too many M5's and M6's. M6 needs min of 7 so except some political jockying and those in favor to remain - irrespective of their talent (or lack therof). Not sure about the 10 reports in this thread ; most M5 are overloaded but there are also too many. I'd expect a full consolidation across many of the lines of business and related support groups.
@ab , its going to be a de-layering exercise mostly. your peer or the one reporting to you might take over quickly.
