They're all about Responsible Growth, and that means minimal layoffs that require severance. Instead, they manage headcount downward, which is a euphemism for making life miserable enough that they quit on their own, no severance required. Step 1: One side of the mouth says everyone wants to be in-office to collaborate, and the other side announces formal rules to force everyone to come to the office under threat of termination because no one wants to be there. So to answer your question, layoffs may happen but they will be minimal.

This shithole bank won't fire mofos who abuse the attendance policy and show up late everyday. I know one employee who asked to be fired and they wouldn't. I wouldn't worry about being let go by this company..

Don’t worry too much. This sh-t hole bank is unlikely to lay people off because doing so would require severance payments. Instead, they may make the work environment difficult enough that employees choose to leave voluntarily, avoiding those costs, while Boston mafia and senior leadership, including your B3/B4 bosses, receives substantial bonuses.

Do the bare minimum work 8 to 5 / 3 day week, spend time with your family and friends.
