Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike’s stock touched $37

I hope it keeps going down. All those company stock buy backs are wasted capital and creating a bigger doom loop.

The Nike Shoe is the most ultimate perfect product to ever be created by human kind.
Helping black men increase their jumping capacity by upwards of 400% by this ultimate design shoe. The Nike Shoe is an incredible feat of engineering and science. Our stock cannot be this low, it defies the laws. Have we reached out to LeBron James? He may know what to do.

Good thing we have a long weekend, meaning less trading trading days for Nike.

Also the ceo hit piece are coming out like fortune magazine saying how long should you give a ceo time to turn a company around.

@bs leaders are / can be overly confident which become narcissists and delusional. Shame because winning athletes change their approach only to win.

Bringing back people that are out of touch with the current market conditions. Isn’t a solution; the stock prices for confirms.

What I find amazing is the prevailing confidence with a lot of you both in the leaders and in the direction. I get a lot of “they brought back the right people” and “running is doing well” and “we have the best athletes”.

@b0 Nike pretty much completely stopped their stock buy backs a year or so ago. They only did a bit over $100m in the past year I believe. While yes it seems like it makes sense, they also need to not spend that cash in order to preserve liquidity.

They should cut the dividend. It’s paying 4% and they need that money for the next round of layoffs.

Stock buy backs at this low are technically better for the company but questionable use of funds at this stage.

Short the stock and watch leadership cry.
