Earlier today Joe Russo (EVP & Pres- Global Network &Tech) announced 3 SVPs will be taking retirement. Effective Sept 14th, 2026 new leadership stepping in. More change coming ….

@gj what are you talking about? All 3 were about pushing offshore, especially Vivek. It's about time they give rid of him as they did with Shankar. The two of them were the worst thing that happened to this company along with Sampath and let's not forget Lowell and Vestburg. All driving this company downhill and putting people like Marnie. Ge-z a bunch of d-mb executives running the place. So d-mb that they hired outside companies to tell them how to run the business down the toilet.
When they lean pro American worker, they get pushed out. They'll bring in someone who is more pro outsourcing.

No one knows what anything is called anymore. Whatever department I work in has changed names and acronyms so many times over the last few years that I can't keep track.
And as with any Verizon naming convention, top level muckety-mucks first vote on the the coolest acronym.
Once the acronym is chosen, they schedule long meetings with a thesaurus so they can pick the coolest word to go with each letter. Relevance to the actual work being done is a plus but not required.
Then they get promoted for awesomeness and another group of managers steps in.
They obvs can't a have the same name or acronym because that would be so mid.
Soooo.... another naming convention... more promotions, Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

@ah Execs never retire, they're fired. But that doesn't look good in their resumes and with their underlings, so the spin it as a retirement. Probably they'll get another gig someplace else. Vivek is not old enough to retire, meaning he would rather stay. He was forced out.

The stint of being in a company for 30 + years . Being for susbstantial years at VP level and above holding degrees that does not resonate with being in network or technology. Is there any organization that comes to mind to have execs who have been for so long in their positons.
