@jf Hardworking people have lots of moneys taking out of every paycheck for DECADES to include such things as taxes for Medicare, Medicaid, Disability, Unemployment, etc. for the future misfortune event for when a person becomes elderly, disabled, or in poverty (thanks to some heartless corporation, such as this).
So, many of those persons are not looking for a “free ride” but rather already paid their way in the past, via paid from every paycheck tax dollars taken out.
@f8 We pay when someone else can't afford it, and it's not our responsibility.
That act is getting old, pay your own way.
@e8 so when people show up to the ER because they can't afford a copay for a visit of their meds and then can't pay more than 5 bucks a month on their ER bill - who pays.

@bn FYI - no xray at your PCP - no ultrasound either. Urgent care - x-ray yup, no ultrasound or CT/MRI so off to the ER you are sent - If you end up with a broken bone, you will have prescribed follow up with Ortho - not your PCP -
This place has incentives for many accounts to not use an ER - and penalties for EH if they do. Lots of communities do not have urgent care and not 24/7.
Tell me again why we don't have universal health care and put these greedy ba----ds out of business

A badly sprained ankle can feel broken. You won't know it's not broken until you get it examined. They want us to hobble around on a possibly broken ankle to go to a PCP or urgent care first just to save the company money.
@a3 I totally disagree with your last sentence. It should instead have said “…everyone has a responsibility to get the BEST care possible.”
You are important to your families and have a responsibility to them to get the “best” care, not the “cheapest” care.
Your responsibility to your family far outweighs any responsibility to the company you work for.
@OP yeah, none of this poorly acted show will soften the blow in any possible way. These people are delusional to think that it will. No solid numbers here...but everyone has a responsibility to get the cheapest care possible.
This guy is such a tool. Basically see the people we want you to see so company can be more profitable. They will never trickle down the savings to us.
So do we ask Spark where to go when we are sick now
