They suddenly deactivated my account without anyone warning me. I was working on an important project and have a delivery next month. I know there are various layoffs happening in Europe, but usually they warn you before canceling your account. Has this happened to anyone else here? I don't understand if it's a mistake or a layoff.

You can go check your status on the work phone website, but be warned that they update your status before you’re really even laid off. I was in the middle of purchasing a home when they decided to lay off my entire 125+ department, and they changed my status there to “laid off” about 3 weeks before I was indeed laid off.

@d9 It probably did happen. I know of three people who had access revoked before notification. Think about it. The company really doesnt do anything well. Why would you think layoffs can go without BS.

probably a mistake in timing; got locked out before the meeting was scheduled.

I would say that if you work at Nielsen and you're not in India you should be looking for a job NOW, insane this needs repeating!
Nielsen has given up on European and US workers.
They will keep replacing them with cheaper labor from Mexico and India. Or whatever country they can find in 2027 that will work for less money. They will keep cutting costs until the Clients finally walk away when the low paid replacements put out such bad product that they have no choice but to walk away!
If you did get laid off....count your blessings!!
