Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Things that make you say hmmmm

https://www.outlookbusiness.com/corporate/cognizant-wins-multi-year-centene-deal-that-could-touch-1-billion

I find it very interesting that they are “cutting costs” but just executed a massive contract with an AI company.

So much for transparency 😒

@a3 YES, THIS!!!

Think of the savings if they replaced C-suite Executives, Human Resources, Board of Directors, and most of middle management with AI (artificial intelligence)!

It could be done very easily and if any shareholders are reading this, it would overnight improve profit share margins as the fat at the top is replaced with AI, producing cost savings like you have never seen!

@ah Yeah, I called FedEx three tomes today trying to find out about the delivery of a package. The AI bot would ask me for the tracking number and each time it would say a ‘0’ for the second digit even though I clearly said a ‘9’. I kept saying the tracking number slower, pausing between each digit and enunciating stronger and stronger. Not sure but wondering if maybe my air conditioner causing slight air movement noise in background wad throwing the AI bot off. Anyway, point is, AI bots are not even good for phone customer support.

@a1 they aren’t mentioning the part where humans are still needed to check, correct, update the work done by AI but the solution is outsourcing whatever amount of humans they need to remote sweatshops that they can pay $800 a month per individual.

Is anyone boss pressuring them to tell the team so they can be prepared to answer the questions the team may have?

@a1 They instead should be replacing all of the c-suite executives, human resources, and board of directors with AI.

And probably even the Directors and other middle management.

@OP She was pretty honest in the call today that they are moving to AI. My gut says that is why we have these long separation dates. Roll out AI, let the humans go.,
