Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Lots o leavings on LinkedIn

Seeing lots of longtime people suddenly leaving most VP’s. Did they get laid off and got to stay longer than the others? What’s making them retire all of a sudden?

the retirement rules were hidden but easy to understand and published and why not retire at 55 and take a new job. the rules make sense / no retention incentives at 55. Smart people retire get a new job.

It's probably that they are taking the retirement package rather than having to deal with the RTO in September. Good for them! I am glad that they are making Fidelity pay them for their years of service. They may also have other jobs lined up.
