Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What’s going on with payment and score?

I’ve been hearing mixed rumours that we’re just going to be paid as if we hit 90% of our target? Is this true?

Sure, may be great for some people who didn’t achieve. But myself and I few others I know are expecting big pay outs with commission from the accelerators for exceeding our targets.

Are we just not gonna get paid out on all of that and it was effectively all for nothing?

@x6 They still have to pay you what you are owed though if they let you go or you leave so not paying the draw doesn’t mean anything unless you made less than 90%. I am leaving end of Aug and well over 250% so I expect a big paycheck in Sept from them or I will get a lawyer involved. Also, I am not sure how they are getting away with not paying the people that have left their commission checks yet either.

You guys realize they’ll lay off a ton of people before pocketing that draw, right?

@ta 90% draw confirmed. ODW further delayed. This whole org is a dumpster which is on fire. And is riding on a train which is also on fire. And all the people are screaming and begging to stop and save what is possible, but the conductor said no and keeps pouring gas into the fire.

@qk Wow, I hope that’s not the case, that would be crazy (but not surprising for Dell). I am leaving Sept 1 so I am worried if I will be trued up or sc--wed. I am well over 200% this quarter.

@qk why take it without lube when you can do nothing and look for a job elsewhere

Plus paid on demand vs shipped which helps a ton. also 60% threshold lowered to 45%. movements in the right direction anyway.

Go ask your Sales Manager.

There.

Next Question.

The reality is that the backend systems (COINS) already know exactly where employees stand for the quarter if the revenue and performance is visible, then people should be paid what they legitimately have earned, not have compensation held back to manage financial optics or manipulate the market. That’s effectively what they are doing. For a “ethical” company the way they are treating their staff purely for greed is woeful, immoral and unethical.

@d0 i haven't been given any official news, only heard rumours. Please share what news you have heard around this? Thanks

@d0 We have not officially been given any information. I heard a version of this from my manager, but no official communication has been sent to the sellers. They aren’t ready for the revolt that is coming or haven’t figured out the best way to spin it yet. How do you say we f’ed up and can’t figure out what your owed for all of your hard work?

Why ask this question? If you are in sales, you have already been given the news.

What if we are already in claw back from the previous quarter? The majority of public sellers were sc--wed last quarter and haven’t seen a commission check in months

@a2 Okay I see, still doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me? Why can’t they just pay us what we are owed.

Where did you hear this if you don’t mind me asking?

@a3 yeah so basically they will increase your target to match your backlog and effectively cancel out any additional large commission that you may have received had the stuff shipped?

by

Which means if you don't hit because of shipping delays it will be months before you get another payout with commision.Plus they will increase your next target by any backlog you have or move accounts.

We are receiving a 3rd draw check at 90% payout which is technically a 40% check since we have received two 25% draw checks. And then supposedly in September we get the true up check for where we ended at for Q2.
