Does anyone know, if you take all your vacation for the year and then get laid off, do you have to pay back the part you haven't accrued yet?

@ah correct. Unless you're in a state that mandates it be paid out, they won't pay out accrued vacation but will charge you for time you used but hadn't accrued. Employees get sc--wed both ways.
I was part of the last RIF in March. I was told that I could use any accrued time, but if I used any time that had not accrued yet, and I was in the negative that I would have to pay it back and it would be deducted from my last check. I feel for anyone who gets caught up in this next round. It’s pretty brutal.
@ah it depends on the state law. CA for example treats vacation as earned pay. Majority of states don't, so it goes poof when laid off.
But if you have unused vacation you lose it?
