@r4 Last count was 77 SVP pre-November. What is it now?

You can carve up the info and frame anyway you like, just assume that no one, no group and no level is safe, VZ or FTR. Nearly every area and group was affect last year, and you are now seeing SVPs being released after the fact.

Just assume there will always be one for the foreseeable future, and have a plan B.

Do we get 2026 stock together web letter before the layoff

@dx I heard Frontier salaries are lower on average, they don't get bonuses, no STI and no stock rewards. So most of layoffs will be on the VZ side.

I thought most of the lay offs would come from Frontier?

@dm If they stick to routines, notifications occur the 2nd month of the quarter to be off the books by end of quarter (NJ Warn notice aside)... so Feb, May, Aug, Nov are the usual notification months....

@OP do we think May is the offboarding date or notification date

AD here.

Back in October I was asked for updated rankings for my team.

My honest advice is to make sure you are not on the bottom of that list and make sure you are doing something unique within your team.

Jomo life energizes us! I look forward to missing out on a paycheck, bonus, and benefits for myself and my family to keep the customers and shareholders delighted. I’m a lucky person. Thank you vz!!!!

@ac What would make legal decide to keep one person but not another? RIFs have hit people on maternity leave, young and old, all tenures, all levels, and backgrounds. Are there some key things legal looks out for that help them decide?

Is this targeting any specific area of the company? When in May?

Original intent was end 3rd quarter assuming negotiations until August. Ratification happening presently then EIPP end of 2nd quarter along with RIFs. Dan's plan is ahead of schedule. The only benefit that can be seen is that fourth quarter is likely to be quiet.

@a7 1. Early planning (2–6+ weeks before announcement)
• Leadership identifies cost-cutting needs
• Targets like “reduce 10–15% headcount” are set
• Finance and HR model different scenarios

  1. Manager input (1–3 weeks before)
    • Managers are asked to suggest names or roles
    • Performance, role redundancy, and budget are considered
    • Multiple review rounds happen (legal + HR)

  2. Final approvals (days to 2 weeks)
    • Executives finalize the list
    • Legal teams ensure compliance (to avoid lawsuits)

  3. Communication phase
    • Managers are informed first
    • Employees are notified (often all at once or in waves)

Layoffs confirmed for sometime in 2032 too, and at other times between now and then. In other words BAU.
