As I said months ago they already have a contract extension in place .Both sides just needed to make it look like there was so much between them.As though so much hard work had to be done .Now they sell us the bag that’s filled with you know what. They will say man we made progress it was a tough fight and this is what we got .So I think retirees best not get their hopes up the cost of the health is not reverting. The only hope you have is a cap of some sort. The raises will be just enough to cover the medical increase for active workers. The company as you know wants to wack the disability down so there goes that when the majority of us now at at a point we may need it.So here’s to 2026 best of luck brothers.Lets just hope they don’t sell out the lump for the pension carriers maybe they throw us a bone with another paid holiday like June 19

@ct or maybe wireless should take over the transport and maintenance in their sites. I go there and see wireless techs doing nothing. They sit therecand vzb techs have work all the trouble tickets.
@OP 100% complete bs, this upcoming “extension talk” are like the sixth times they have done so. It’s early bargaining and no time did either CWA or IBEW want full bargaining, the goal was ALWAYS an extension. Once you open up the contract it’s fully open…the goal is an extension and attempting to fix the medical
@bn lol someone want to tell him he will be one of them one day? You literally are getting what you have now because of them
Garbage men should be paid more. They are taking away YOUR stinky garbage.
@e5 Aren't you the one that wrote, "whinny babies" before writing "...when you can’t win an argument you personally attack someone."
Hypocrite.
@e5 How's that a personal attack?
@cs when you can’t win an argument you personally attack someone.
Wow. A garbage man is more appealing position than a technician nowadays
The wireless side of the business never needed a union because they used to treat wireless right. They gave them some things the wireline side didn't get, but that changed when the wireline took over and decided to run the wireless side into the ground. I hate to say it but wireless needs to be Union now.
@bm your spelling can do better starting with "whiney" 🙄
Thank your union negotiators for that
I’m waiting for nyc dept of sanitation to call. They get paid twice what u get at Verizon
Even a union construction laborer in nyc is up to 90 dollars a hour. All trades have been ki-ling it. Go to the trades
Cwa failed
retirees? the he-l with those boomers, what about those in the trenches dealing with the BS. No body cares about those who worked here before , you all had your time, now the current workforce needs to suffer because you must pay for benefits. Go scratch
Cry me a river you whinny babies. You think you can do better? LEAVE, Go find a job without a union. If it’s that much better without the union, go get yourself that better job with better benefits.
@aj Thanks to all the union members who voted Republican to "own the libs." How's that working out for ya?
@as Excuse me but "So few customers left?" Verizon is the 3rd largest carrier in the country, not to mention the billions in government contracts. If you want to see a clown maybe look in the mirror.
hope and pray CWA does the right thing and hope you dont get sc--wed by CWA like in the past, most dont have any faith in this CWA union any more.
Bunch of clowns, Union has no work how do you go on strike when you have so few customers left? Oh let me guess, backbone cell site work, that's enough work for six techs state wide. Time to work on your resume.
Trump says give them cash they can buy their own insurance
The disagreement is how much does healh insurance cost
It used to be provided 100 percent by company. Than when it changed thats when the decline started
The people who think the Union has all the cards are seriously misunderstanding the current political environment and the amount of help that will be available from the NLRB and Sec of Labor this time around.
Try upping the buyout money.
I believe that there is a possibility that maybe the company and union would like to settle this so it’s not messy .The company is at a split in the road .It needs to make some buisness changes .Change course that it was set on starting with McAdams .Its the only way it’s gonna pull itself back up !! I don’t believe a strike is in anyone’s best interest regardless of the haters that love to beat down the union associates .There is no need for a messy fight if both sides can come up with a agreement tht serves both sides
You don’t know sh!t.
The Union has the company by the ba--s. They can literally get every thing they want, and nothing Dan can do about it.
how do you know?....
my summer vacation depends on this...
