where do you sit and what department are you working out of? …..trying to see if what we’ve been complaining about is a company wise issue or a department issue….

@f3 I hate how right you are. I remember years ago someone in my work group used the word “family”. Sounded nice….. we were “unified” and “trusted each other”. We “supported” and “helped” each other. Might be true in a meeting, but not in real life. Everyone out for themselves and, to quote a funny holiday movie, “you can’t spell ‘families’ without ‘lies’….”
@h4 It is astounding and disheartening that this firm still operates on the basis of the ego of those who don't know much, those who resort to reactive abuse and lying to preserve their undeserved and unearned positions, and those who excel at dishonest games and pretention.
I really don't know how these people take themselves seriously, I don't.
It speaks volumes of the company that always touts education, talent, and leadership, operating more like a backwoods city council of corruption than an elite financial institute.
A reckoning is long overdue and too good for these people.
@gw The individuals in question have openly told us they don't really know the work that goes on in the department. Only very surface level and even then you cannot rely on them for support or assistance.
I've never had managers that behaved like this and there is a reason why they left. They get mistreated and are looked over for promotion because they don't bend the knee or know a little too much that it threatens the ego of those above them. But at the same time, the senior managers need that knowledge when convenient and to delegate their work down to them.
I reviewed some of the HR policies and it is amazing what you can find and how these polcies contradict what we're told by these "leaders". I highly recommend others study this and do not hesitate to say "No." You have a lot more leverage than you think to allow these to walk all over you and these managers are banking on ignorance of the policies and expectations to get over on those "beneath" them.
Get prepared for deer in the headlights looks when you communicate what is actual policy vs their made up expectations.

@c6 I can tell you some stories going back to 2019 dealing with and witnessing what you described. It is company wide, Happened most in WS at old HQ (200). It is insane how ridiculous it is. Anyone would think its an exaggeration, when teammates know it isn't.
There are complete frauds working here and that is the correct word, Frauds.

Truist leadership will come back at full force to reiterate the five-day return-to-office mandate, remind us that employment is at-will, and make it clear that bonuses and raises are on the chopping block for anyone who doesn’t fall in line.
It is wide spread. Look at all the posts and you see many departments listed. Walk around and talk to people or go hang out at the water cooler since Truist won’t supply coffee and listen all the frustrations. Look at all the issues not getting solved, archer is full of them and that’s with so many in management hiding problems refusing to acknowledge them. Do you even work here asking this question?!?!?

It is company wide. The culture at this bank promotes people who steal credit from others and receive recognition for things they have ZERO knowledge on.
This is why when the talent goes, these upper managers in name only get shifted to another department and lie about wanting to learn only to turn around and claim they DON'T need to understand how to do the job the people who report to them. And it is a astounding how they are shocked when they fail their controls and audit Lmao
That is just poor leadership. And over the years I've seen the same wash, rinse and repeat. I don't know how these people hold on to these positions - what exactly are they saying to keep it and how are people falling for it?

@am+1kcs3s71b -- Pretty sure the OP is just genuinely trying to get a sense of what depts are still fairly good and which ones are a mess. I don't blame them .. because I often think how hearing people complain about a bank as a whole is way too broad.
