Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Interesting that Dell was named as a top 3 places to work, renectly...

I have NO idea who took this survey or who they asked, or how many people they even asked but...

Those Tell Dell results were pretty horrible and I highly doubt most people would ever "recomend" dell as a good company to work for. Maybe 10 years ago but absolutely not anymore.

I saw link from Israel how dell is buying articles in press to hire grads/juniors and promise them super env and great career... at same time they bully experienced folks to do all kinds of bullsh-t or get them fired :/

@at Never thought about paid rankings lol... But that would make a lot of sense. I forget where this came from but I believe it was from an Austin paper. Which makes sense considering Dell is "Austin" based and is likely the largest company in Austin - or at least based out of Austin.

The other one was Keller-Williams and I forget the last one... but Dell 100% should not have even made the top 100 companies, let alone top 3 LOL.

@at No. The only people who use that are die hard Repubs lol. But I'd go get checked out for TDS if I were you.

You can pay for anything…

Dell still sends paychecks biweekly even project failure. That is the best. What else do you want?

They probably only surveyed the Indian employees who got to move here to work for the Indian leaders.

But why didn’t they make the list last year? They probably won’t make the list next year.

Honestly you don’t even need to acknowledge this ranking. It’s not real. They’re reported by journalists and ranking officials that you have never heard of and will never see again.

It’s a service that’s basically “pay to win”… play nice but win… heh… irony…

3rd place? Probably a typo.

Tell Dell!?!?! I still haven't heard anything from management. We asked a few months ago and they said, we'll get back to you.

These are paid for adverts.

Similar to compensated Amazon reviews, surveys can be manipulated when participants are paid to provide positive responses. Nothing is as it seems.

They buy those surveys.

Probably sales answered the survey. They drink the coolaid as most don’t last long enough to be jaded.

Nobody I know in services CSG or ISG would recommend it as a place to work. Dell cares very little about the support orgs.

Wtf? Clearly 80/20 rule... and filtered out 80% of the results.

Feels like Yelp where you can buy a good reputation if you’re willing to pay for the ranking.
