Where did all the job postings go?

Anyone know what is going on? Went to apply for a job posted last week and noticed almost all opened regs are gone. Only 1 in Quincy and 70 in Boston. That is down from close to 400 the week before.

Labor union at State Street Corporation?

This might sound crazy, but has there been any attempts from employees forming a labor union at State Street Corporation? I know Wells Fargo employees made some attempts. But I couldn’t find any articles online to unionize at State Street Corp. I... — read more

Leveling is out of level

How many times can a company say the layoffs are related to reducing the layers of the reporting structure? Yes that is a rhetorical question. I see an increase in EVP and SVP level positions reporting into the same level. Why is this happening with... — read more

How does the Talent Pool work

Anyone have any idea how the talent pool works? We were told this week that our MD just got added and I have no idea what that entails. I know it means they are on their way out, but what are the ins and out? Guy is still in his office everyday... — read more

TCP results

Finished off my team’s TCP and for anyone who tend to get their hopes up, this year wasn’t anything special. My manager reiterated the same thing with me during my one on one with him. Minimal decrease in both merit & bonus for my staff. I have no... — read more

State Street pays well below market

Just heads up, I was not as aware of this until I started interviewing, receiving offers and working elsewhere-looking back at State open positions: State Street pays well below market. Just FYI

State street and BBH deal - what happens now?

Since the act of acquiring BBH flopped, I am sure at this point BBH is desperate for more employees since a lot have left in anticipation of the takeover. But ultimately they are so small that I can see them being a target in the future. and STate... — read more

Employee Surveys & Reviews

At the current state, don’t voluntarily fill out any employee surveys until you secure another job. Company is not being completely honest with what they do with our responses. It’s not Anonymous. Sure, they can use a third party service to make it... — read more

State Street Layoffs 2023

This thread is for info about potential State Street layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

We shouldn’t hate on HB1 and Offshore workers

Public service announcement: I see a lot of resentment towards HB-1 and offshore workers. They are not the bad guys. I bet most of us would do the same if given the opportunity. In most cases the foreign workers don’t know that they are replacing... — read more

What roles in STT have the most trasferrable skills?

Been working at STT for less than a year, and so far no much complaints, but curious about roles where you pick up skills if you want to move on to other employers. Also, how hard is it to earn up to 120K here?

State Street is not a company employees want to work for anymore. It is failing and people have/are jumping ship, or doing bear min

I have been trying to figure out what exactly is the biggest issues with the company and I've narrowed it down to: 1-hyper focus on cost cutting at the expense of everything else: there are not enough people with skills and knowledge at State... — read more

Couldn't it stay that way?

This used to be a company where most employees felt valued. At one time, loyalty, hard work and competence were valued and rewarded here. I wonder why it couldn't stay that way? Today this is a totally different company.

We need a younger workforce

I know I'm going to get hate for this, but it needs to be said. There are too many old people working at State Street who are holding the company back by being stuck in the old ways and resisting any kind of change, even when it would be beneficial... — read more

You're always working

Boost employee morale

There are fewer highly skilled employees and morale is very low. It is worrying that the management completely ignores it, or at least that is my impression. Is it so difficult for State Street to do something to boost employee morale?

Consolidating offices in Qyincy ?

Is the rumor true they will be consolidating their offices in Quincy to save money ? They seem to have a few redundant offices in Quincy, which they could move staff into other buildings in the area

State Street needs leaders with vision
