Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

How to survive this company?

I've worked here nearly 3 years in total and I can't stand it. It's completely changed how I view the world and ruined me mentally, physically, and emotionally. The managers are heartless clowns and I'm surrounded by stupidity. I refuse to quit because of some jerks and bad managers but it feels like the only option at this point because I can barely recognize myself anymore.

Update:

I received an offer this week at my dream gig. I’ll be putting in my notice next week and moving the f—k on with my life. 3 years utterly wasted in this s—thole. My advice to those who can afford it and have an inkling of a moral compass, just quit. These fools don’t deserve your labor.

"""Now the motto is " Workers are are our greatest expense " They must be laid off, outsourced, replaced by temps, contract workers, H1b workers"""

During last week's Employee next call the HR was asked abt hiring freeze and their literal answer was we wont hire even if there is attrition. So it is clear - burn 'em out until they quit. No one seems to be bothered about the impact on quality, sympathise with the clients

The company doesn't want to give workers severance packages, they cost money.
The goal is to continue to overwork them, stress them out so they just give their notice.

Hence the company doesn't have to pay out a severance package since you quit .

Quiet firing - if they want to reduce staff, ask employees to volunteer and give them a package instead of quiet firing. We all know they want to reduce staff, but don't be so sleazy about it.

This is not the positive friendly company it used to be. A company which had a motto

"Workers are our greatest asset"

Now the motto is " Workers are are our greatest expense " They must be laid off, outsourced, replaced by temps, contract workers, H1b workers

Why risked your mental health and physical health by staying at this toxic place.

I feel for you, I was there. I got free. You should too, you deserve happiness. Your life is yours, it is literally the only one you’re getting. Leave all the toxicity behind and be free. You have so many options.

You’re not alone. Ethical workers will struggle working in State Street Corruption. The only type of workers that flourish and embrace this environment are toxic and complicit. They have no shame.
