Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

There's a lot of gloom and doom with the current layoffs. I thought I share a small win for once that impacted Captain Ron and his Slave Ship crew..

When the Return to Office mandate was communicated in the Fall, there was an uproar in Canada within Client Service department. Most of the workers quit or threatened to quit. This cause the company to backpedal by sending another internal communication email to inform us they are in the process of rethinking the RTO mandate. This event proves the workforce can influence the company to change by our force in numbers.

No requirement for this in Ireland. Business as normal for us. Remote with zero requirements for going to any office.

Meat the board next week JAB. Clean your desk, bring your smile...have an uplifting time.

I believe that many corporations are going to be having issues if they expect the majority of their employees to return to the office. I have no idea how this will work for State Street. If you are working in Boston and relying on taking the MBTA to commute to work, it will be very challenging. It isn't necessary to have to return to the office 5 days a week.

As workers return to office, please be aware of the white devices underneath your desk. They are about the size of deck of cards. But don’t worry it’s only to monitor occupancy. State Street leaders will never abuse the technology and use the data collected against us 🙄

The company will have to check your work area sounds like the mind control mist in
the ac system is not reaching your area. They will also have to check your PC to make sure the subliminal messages on the screen are reaching you.

The ones which say, " be grateful slave you still have a job " you are very happy doing the work of 3+ people, you hate raises and bonuses, you like working 55+ hours a week

State Street leader: Due to inflation and cost of living…I can’t keep up with my wealthy lifestyle. My family desperately need a yacht!

Corporate drone: Master, you can increase your earnings by reducing the labor force. We can mandate workers to return to the office to experience a hostile environment…oops I meant ‘collaborative work environment’.

State Street leader: Yes, this will force them to quit and cause a labor shortage. We’ll be able to pump more H1-B1 workers into the company. H1-B1 workers will think they’re living the American Dream by working at the new office HQ, but we’ll pay them pennies muahaha!

Corporate drone: Master, our clients will be frustrated with our services with all the experience and knowledge that we're loosing. The bright side is getting rid of our existing U.S. employees is the least amount work required from State Street leadership.

State Street leaders: Very, well. I’ll talk about the Return To Office mandate in the next quarterly call. In the meantime, continue to overwork our U.S. employees. We need to trick them to train their offshore replacements on top of pressuring them to perform their regular duties. We’re not applying enough unnecessary stress on our U.S. employees. Make it obvious that they must work in the office and their replacements can work remotely. I can’t wait for my fat bonus when we eliminate all these jobs!

Rons obsessed with return to office. Easy for him to say when he’s commuting from
the waterfront near north end. Hummm … Convenient that he created a building that’s closer to him when the majority live on the South shore. And Jamie Diamond from JP just announced all the managing director and up must come in 5 days. I can’t get out if this place or corporate America fast enough. Our leadership are arrogant, think they are hyper intellects and incompetent. Look at client service and ops. Nice job ruining the company boys!

Curious if leadership is spreading this rumor to create more fear and influence employees to quit.

We all know they would rather Quiet Fire people rather than laying people off so State Street Corporation doesn’t have to pay severance. It’s also bad publicity for the company showing up in the WARN reports:
