I used to be proud to work for VZW. Everyone loved us. What happened? I see the downfall starting around the time Vodafone was bought out.

@OP The short answer is that Lowell made several disastrous decisions such as:
1- Overpaying for Vodafone's 45% share and saddling the company with $130 billion in debt
2- Buying AWS spectrum from Comcast and Charter on the cheap in exchange for allowing them to compete with Verizon using Verizon's own network (they now have about 22 million subscribers combined)
3- Selling some 700MHz spectrum to T-Mobile which allowed them to close the coverage gap with Verizon and AT&T
4- Pushing out seasoned Verizon executives and bringing in a successor with little to no experience the US telecom market
5- Etc...
I try not to focus on the past. What's done is done!
Our stock price is terrible compared to TMO over the last 10 years. So yea we are the JV team now.

IKR. The other carriers respected us especially in the field when we ran into them. What an embarrassment now. Laughing stock in the wireless world now. What a difference from just a few years ago.
Upper management rewarding themselves to the tune of a hundred million $ a year for the top dozen or so, while letting our network go from the best network to the third best network.
