Hi all my laid off buddies...release is on workday but this line I'm hesitating...
Employee may not sign this release prior to their last day of unemployment and prior to receiving their final paycheck...
So we can't sign this until next Friday, which is a delay, which will allow them time to delay payout until October. Has anyone previously laid off signed this prior to their final paycheck and still received severance?
This is my only reason I'm hesitating

@a2 it is available on the VSP website and included in the paperwork you receive there.
@kt I didn't take the vsp so my logo is workday. Does the vsp have that bold pibe in it too?
@b5 Your paper work may be found under your VSP login, try that and scroll down to bottom.
@b5 Sharing...if you sign in on VSP site which shows you your severance, you should see Acceptance if you click that you will see a place to sign( but you can't) go back to the main page scroll down and click yes if you agree to both , then you will go back open up your acceptance and see your signature and date you signed. It will say you can sign before last pay.
@OP You can sign prior to last check, it states that in the VSP site once you sign on scroll to the bottom you'll see you can and click yes in drop down, another box will come up click yes then you can she your acceptance signature. Don't click yes if you do not agree.
@b5 completely agree. one of my coworkers has her attorney reviewing it to be sure what date we should legally sign. I don't want to sign it if I risk losing my severance
@OP That's strange! I haven't received my paperwork yet, but if we cannot sign until 9/11, that means we spend a whole week without generating income from the company. Wouldn't this impact the start date for unemployment benefits in many states?

Good morning, yesterday it was my husband last day also as he took the VSP. He called HR and explained the concern with that line you mentioned and they checked with the person in charge of severance. They rest assured us the last pay check will be paid whether we sign the Release now or later, that its not going to make a difference.

Has anyone received OWBPA Disclosure List is this included in the severance agreement so we know the ages.
