After talking to quite a few of my coworkers and everyone got a 0% or 1% raise. We work in Carlsbad so how do they expect to keep good employees when they don’t take care of them?

I'm in Midland and got a 0% raise this year. Honestly kinda took me by surprise. Anyone else?
All the BTC employees moving to Carlsbad are driving down wages
Only 71% of uncon got a raise. Pioneer costs were not known till during the cycle.
@g4 do you actually live there, or are you a rotator? I feel like the rotators out of Carlsbad don’t have it bad, but those of us that moved here have terrible living conditions. G-nshots at least once a week and the worst schools and medical care in the country. It’s a terrible place to live.
0% raise for me!
@bc honestly try living in a camp at kearl (Exxon's site in Canada) at -50oC. Or other offsite mines all around the world's, and those pay less than Carlsbad.
I'm suprised that there are still employees that haven't figured out that exxon wants less employees, not the same or more....

Since it’s almost impossible to get good quality workers in Carlsbad it’s surprising the basically gave everyone the middle finger with the raises. The person that commented that we will still stay is probably right, but I will say what we get paid isn’t enough for living in such a terrible place.
Y'all will end up staying since the pay is still higher than anywhere else.
@OP Why would you assume they’re trying to keep people?
PIPs, RTO orders, hiring freezes….do the algebra guy.
