@ez I wasin the last layoff I got 4 mos salary + 4 mos cobra (which su-ked). 11+ years. They take out all of the taxes so it comes to about 60% of gross.
8 yr employee. Told me they got 12 weeks sev and 3 months insurance. I am not sure and this is all heresay at this point.
WARN act says that they have to give 60 days' notice minimum. So, if they give you no notice, like CDW likes to do, they have to pay you at least 60 days out. After that it might be 1 week per year though.
If anyone is getting less than 60 days pay, go see an employment attorney.
They force ex-employees to sign NDAs when they accept the severance, which is why you rarely see any confirmation of the amount. Everything that I’ve heard from previous layoffs is that severance at CDW is terrible, as little as two weeks base plus one week per year of service.
Consider whether you have a potential discrimination case. Could you selection for the RIF be based on a protected class, whistleblower activity, etc.? If so, do not sign the standard severance; hire an employment attorney to push for more.
Can any one guide me what is the severance week we should expect for 11+ year in cdw being layoffed.. any help would be appreciated
