@n9 I was surprised to receive my bonus in March 2026. It was prorated, but I did receive one. I was laid off at HQ in April of 2025 for context. I am praying for my fellow Comcasters. It's a tough job market, and the last year and a half has been challenging for me personally.

@et I was laid off in July. RSUs that hadn't vested are gone on the last day of employment and I'm hoping for a bonus in March since I worked half the year.

Not wishing ill will, but I do hope that the toxic leaders in our company are getting ready to have a very uncomfortable and unsettling weekend.

@fq I was in a similar situation 20 years ago at a much smaller company. After several reverse-splits of its stock and quarterly layoffs, it still couldn't escape the fate of being delisted. It limped along for several more years after I found another new job and left, but several mergers later that office no longer exists. With Comcast's size and cash flow, it's not going anywhere for a while and will likely regain its footing eventually as a smaller telco. But for rank and file employees, the fear and anxiety are the same regardless, whether they work in a glassy high-rise downtown or out of a nondescript office building on the edge of town as I did two decades ago. In earlier rounds, the ones let go were told their positions had been eliminated due to competition, while survivors were fed the line that each re-org was meant to "better align" with who-knows-what. Now that I have been on both sides of that divide, I wish all my former colleagues the best of luck. Your identities are not tied to the work you have done at this one company even if you have spent the last 20 years there, there is a future for you outside.

@fq the answer is your jobs toast and you should start looking now before everyone else also hits the market lol

Maybe they will finally admit that the pizza place under CTC has been a cash cow and they're pivoting the business model away from telecom and to pizza 🍕

I’m truly so sick of this company and hanging onto hope every 3 months. The lack of communication is abysmal. Leadership is constantly preaching how this is a place of growth and opportunities. We have seen nothing of the sorts. Who is this affecting and when? WE NEED ANSWERS!

Yesterday we had our town hall with D Schwartz. The call caused all kinds of anxiety as he appeared extremely unprepared and disconnected about the future of our organization. What he shared was that there was major work ahead and he shared five goals that should help us become great however after the call I immediately knew I needed to start looking for new opportunities. I've never seen the Executive Leadership team this disconnected. I'm expecting major cuts and I know it will be the grace of God if I'm not impacted this time. Honestly it feels like we are on Survivor! Prayers and best wishes to everyone whose dedicated their life to this once great company!

Was doing some work on the 40th floor in HQ (empty floor), and overhead, some folks were talking about layoffs when I went to the bathroom. What made it odd was that as soon as I walked by, I smiled; someone noticed me when I went to the bathroom. Someone followed afterward, awkwardly asking me how my day was going. It felt very odd. IDK who those men were, but I def heard layoff twice when walking by.

Damn guys.. I'm sorry. It was he-l to go through last year as the job market isn't great. Comcast does look decent on your resume though.

I was only there for 15 months, but they gave me 12 weeks of severance NOT including the 3 months of warning we got from Sept - Dec 31st. The meeting to announce division closures was mid sept 2025, and I was paid through April 2026.

Life goes on.

Think about it. We all know FDX is not working.

Frank is already gone among others.

If Elad is out. Who’s left that was preaching FDX?

No other network provider attempted this path. In fact all the other major providers told Comcast NOT to do it. That speaks volume.

The major problem Comcast has is, how do you go to the street and tell them you’re abandoning FDX when you have been telling them for years that’s you plan to combat subscriber loss in existing infrastructure. This is a major major problem.

Comcast is going to reduce operating cost and cut build cost and focus on selling more mobile and Xfinity home in their existing plant to make themselves more sticky. Try to drive the stock price up to increase market cap and give them some breathing room for options in 3 years.

The unknown is how bad will the next 3 years be with this approach.

@ch given the volume and no WARN notices in place, I’m assuming a minimum 60 day notice so I suppose that’s something on top of whatever severance. People need to start looking at other jobs if they aren’t already.

@OP - I haven’t heard anything official from our Comcast side yet, but a colleague joined a GCT (Global Cloud Technology) All Hands yesterday that speaks volumes.

The meeting was called with the usual knee je-k, sub 24 hour notice - a clear attempt to staunch a growing vote of no confidence in a leadership team that’s become increasingly invisible since the NBCU news.

A long standing leadership tier has let tenure replace capability and turned loyalty into the primary currency. They preach culture and leadership to everyone else while refusing to change themselves, defending the same outdated systems that keep them insulated and unchallenged.

On the call, I hear that Comcast’s lead came across like a Miranda Priestly caricature - minus the style, the grace, or the backbone. Sky’s CTO was brought in as backup and, frankly, shone. He didn’t have every answer, but he knew far more and landed with credibility where our own side has not.

What actually happened: Without breaking confidence, it appears the entire 200+ Sky cohort within GCT is being moved back under the Sky CTO - a one big “Control Z” undoing of the past two years of Comcast’s globalisation push. In short, the last 24 months of “Globalisation work” have been effectively reversed.

When the floor opened for questions, the Teams hands lit up like fireworks on the 4th July.

The Sky team were far more engaged and vocal than our Comcast side has ever been. The Scottish contingent led many of the questions - direct, pointed, and unafraid - calling out the destabilising rhythm of layoff cycles and the lack of clear growth pathways - think Mel Gibson and the speech in Braveheart "They may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!”.

The real leadership on display: A Sky Head of Department thanked the CTO for the leadership they’d been missing and then asked the hard questions everyone else was thinking but hadn’t dared to voice.

I hear that the Sky team showed the heartbeat of an organisation: people standing up to protect their teams and to demand clarity and stability. That is the kind of leadership that should be elevated and retained in whatever the new structure becomes. They’re the ones actually doing the hard work of leading, not just defending positions.

So what becomes of the Comcast “leaders” who presided over this failure and protected the structures that enabled it?

In any credible organisation, the announcement would already be out: “…left the company to pursue interests outside of Comcast.” The fact that they remain says everything about how tightly they cling to the power they’ve built for themselves.

…..And when they do finally move on, who will step up to school them on how an organisation should actually be run?

@ch I agree that a Netflix doc will come. I had a VP once brag to me when I worked there how he believes his former SVP ki-led a manager. He said she mistreated him so badly, yelled at him daily and only him, that he had a heart attack in his 30s. He claimed the manager did everything to please the SVP but it wasn’t enough because she wanted to hate this manager for her ego. Yet, this VP told me this as if he found it entertaining - as if he were “chosen” because she didn’t do it to him. When he told me this story, I wondered if this VP had pIanned the same for me bc he treated me cruelly. Either way, I am sure there are more stories like this at Comcast just like there were with Abercrombie.
