Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO cost to families

I know no one cares, but this utter nonsense of hub consolidation, has costed my family $180K per year with my husband letting go of his job to follow me to hub, as he has similar colocation issues too from his company if he moves out of state. What’s up with these corporate id--ts? Why aren’t they fired for poor performance? We need to write to Trump.

It stinks. Sorry. But it seems a smarter decision would have been for you to quit, stay where you are and live off your husbands $180k while you find another job.

'What's up with these id--ts? Why aren't they fired for poor performance?' We've been asking that same question about the complete mo--n trump! He can't figure out how to close an umbrella for pity's sake!

“How are you to raise kids or spend anytime with them if both spouses commute 5 days to work?”

Ask older family members.

@fh , the epitome of overpaid is the C suite followed by the next four levels below them.

Office workers like you are paid too much. You need to be humbled. What you "do" isn't that much and can be automated. You aren't grateful to have a job? You just whine and complain. Good Lord

You need some serious introspection and re-examination of expenses if you couldn't live on your husband's $180k/annual salary in order remain closer to family and friends.

Everyone else: Let this person's folly be the example so you avoid lifestyle-creep.

Gave up $180k to follow you? Well, dam, you must be the main breadwinner; at least an AVP. You are not one of us, sorry, not sorry.

Write to trump? Do you really think he cares about the average American employee? Remember his rto memorandum for federal employees?

@OP

AT&T is sh---y in many, many aspects but this is kinda on you. Working in the cesspool is one thing. Uprooting your family to remain in the cesspool, at significant financial loss, is quite another.

@e1 5 days commute is unnecessary. How are you to raise kids or spend anytime with them if both spouses commute 5 days to work? People who conducted and reported these Studies have married kids and grandchildren maybe.

Major studies conclude that RTO is the industry standard
If it makes you feel better to cuss and cry about it, go ahead
See you on the commute

@dp "When spouses have been surveyed"

Please provide link to survey results, or kindly shut the fu(k up because we all know you are just a trolling boolicker whose tongues smells like Stank's Ahole!

When spouses have been surveyed, a majority support RTO and say it is helping to save their marriages. Employees being required to leave the house regularly for work during the week is a benefit for spouses and dependents.
