Not if I am waiting for the severance. During the Summer 24 RTO wave I chose to stick around and find another job. Had I known about going to 5x8 at that time, I would have taken the severance and left. I will be gone within a year and am hoping for a severance opportunity before I go.

@bk+1k87fyn02 If it’s a large group in an org a higher level manager will send out a 15-30 min meeting the day of the notice usually with affected attendees blind copied. Another meeting usually after the layoff meeting will be sent to the unaffected group. If it’s just a few or one in your org usually your manager will send you a 15-30 min same day meeting to give you the notice.
How will HR notify the impacted ones? Are they going to call on your cell phone or some sort of Team meeting?
