Is there any ongoing reorg in upstream?

@12z when was the last major project Shell built that was on time, on budget and profitable? Prelude and PennChem both were north of $15B total and both have had operational issues. The last 2 major project failures is why P&T is getting axed. They don’t really add any value.
what is happening with computational team in Bangalore they seem to enjoy
@sv
Just sad… Shell was built on technology and major projects, and leadership now treats P&T like administrative overhead. Truly visionary. Very Shell. #ShareholderValueFirst #ThisisShell
@OP P&T hasn’t been value add ever since we finished pearl and prelude. Those are why we created P&T. We don’t have a pipeline of projects on that scale for the foreseeable future so prep your resume if you were in P&T. It’s over, no company level investment into a support function anymore.
Yep. Heard about speed 2.0. Projects doesn’t have projects, so expect cuts there. I’m not happy I left, but I’m happy I don’t have to deal with the depressing mood anymore. It was terrible and sounds like it’s gotten worse.
Most of Shell employees that left did get packages 3 weeks per year. Now I’m hearing that Shell is going stop giving out packages. Talk about not being fare to those employees who have over 20 years of employment with Shell.
i've heard that packages are going away next year. anyone hearing same rumors?
@bm at the same time nl packages LOR are being reduced by 33%
Next speed26 round coming soon, more details to come in early September. Everyone in projects applying for their own jobs again. . . Don't expect anyone to get ring fenced. Not enough projects in the funnel. This is what we signed up for in oil and gas.
Who knows where I work it’s so depressing I’m surprised they dont close the doors. But no packages they want all of us to quit instead so they can save money that’s what I was told. If it’s true or not I don’t know.
... the correct question is, " Does anybody know how long until the next reorg in upstream?"
It is a matter of time not if.
