Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

If you're on the fence, leave

Leaving was the hardest decision I’ve ever made, but it ended up being the right one. The first few months were rough, with anxiety, second guessing, and sleepless nights, but once the dust settled, I realized how much lighter life felt. For anyone stuck in that same place, know that leaving doesn’t make you reckless.

You’re right. If I’m on the fence, I should go on leave for a few months to get my head cleared out of all the toxic bs.

Good advice HR …. Errr I mean OP

Keep receiving a salary while you search for another. Do not quit until you have another job lined up. If you’re stressed, take PTO or extended leave, etc.

Do not leave until you have another job. Just don't. The job market in this particular industry is absolutely horrible right now. So many companies have done layoffs that every open position has a ridiculous number of applicants and recruiters are overwhelmed. Do not expect that you will easily be able to find another role.

The fact that you still come here and take the time to write something probably means there’s a bit of regret about leaving Nike...
