@ad Leaking any RIF news is no doubt cause for immediate termination and no one wants to be unemployed in this job market. You don't really expect anyone in HR to say anything, do you? They are instructed to say "no comment".
I had a follow up conversation with HR in the USA today regarding my complaint with how my year end evaluation was calculated. They are not fixing them when they know operations specifically downgraded everyone. Than an excellent source told me that he heard an SVP tell him that there will be a reduction next week starting on the 14th in the USA and the 15th in India because of the holiday. It's a 15 percent reduction which means it depends how you are stack ranked, they need to drop all teams as much as 15% and they are using stack ranking as method to guide management on who should go, not to say they won't save favorites.
I asked HR is there is any truth to a RIF next week and she said she can't comment on that. She didn't say no, but said she can't confirm or deny anything is going to happen on the 14th and 15th.
