Former bell rolls 3 trucks to fix 1 pots line. Former GTE always fixed it from the office out. 1 truck roll. Max 2. No service techs. I kept line cards on my bucket truck.
@dx and you got some senior techs that have no clue whatsoever, they do not do any work, complain whenever there is work and still get all the perks....welcome to the union
Universal Soldier cold called from 1992
@OP NEW?? It's not new. VZB techs do all job types and there are 2 wage schedules. So the Communications techs get paid $5.50 less than Senior techs for the same job.
Thank you IBEW.
the last time they came up with a "universal tech" i think it only ended up f'ing the regular techs. TTA was supposed to be 'universal tech' but then somehow(?) it became COT/TTA and FT/TTA. (still not sure how the avoided equal pay for equal work laws) That led to senior people from other departments to enter (mostly) central offices and changing seniority lists.
yes cot and janitor
@a6 I’ll go work construction before I start answering phones lol.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
@a8 so is it universal tech or universal rep ?
Just as it reads one rep who is universal, can handle any call
Yeah. They plan to have tech and Care doing the same as one another.
