Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

It is time for John Stankey to step down or be replaced

We’ve made measurable strides in fiber deployment and 5G, alongside solid free cash flow and prudent capital allocation, the reality is stark: after five years of this leadership, our stock has fallen 20% over the past year materially underperforming the broader market that has delivered meaningful gains. This persistent gap between our strategic plans and actual shareholder value creation is no longer acceptable. The transformation narrative has run its course without delivering results. For the sake of restoring accountability and protecting long-term owner interests, it is time for John Stankey to step down or be replaced. We require leadership with the urgency and execution focus to turn our strong underlying assets into tangible stock price performance.

I’ll take over the reigns of CEO and have this shipped turned around in 6 months. It’s not hard. JS is not a leader and the board needs to figure this out.

@OP Would you make any effort to drive up the price if you were wanting to buy back common shares of your company's stock? Myself, I would prefer to buy back at the lowest price possible. The 20% correction would save a ton of money.

Replace Stankey with who? McElfresh is likely our answer. Wow. Mind blown.

There's no outsider coming to save us. Why would anyone want to come here? Fortune 500s all know how toxic we are and we're #3. No chance of becoming #1 ever again.

Wish for a new CEO all you want. Unfortunately, he is already here and has learned from Randall and John. Don't forget, John is also our Chairman post CEO. Not going to approve anything that doesn't align with his vision.

But this is great and will be great. Connecting changes everything! Let's keep dancing around $22!!

I heard it mentioned in three different meetings today that we ‘have no money’

AT&T has plenty of money just not for you 😂

I heard it mentioned in three different meetings today that we ‘have no money’. But we’re building that new effing state of the art campus in Plano. Someone needs to work on their priorities.

Stank is like the Coach who has lost the locker room. Yeah, he is still the boss and can tell the players what to do, but the players will only do what they are told, or what most benefits themselves. No more team, no more above and beyond. Just sticking around until next season or the next coach comes along.

PREACH! Stink is a proven loser with a record of 0-300,000,000,000.00 (Dollars) WOW that’s a lot of zeroes!

Nobody believes in his vision except for him. He thinks he’s a dictator. His reign will end as the turning point of no return for the company. This is what happens when the wrong people get too much power.
