I had an accommodation rep say they knew better than my doctor on a recorded phone call. Wild. They were trying soooooo hard to fire me the week before they had to lay me off with severance- I had 18 years and played their games and stretched out accommodation meetings because ‘I had an appointment scheduled to discuss with my Dr’. And then got my severance. Good riddance WF! (I knew my date well in advance because my manager was d-mb/nice and ‘accidentally’ saved their onenote on a shared drive)
Just 3 quarters of the team, the remaining transfer in q1
@a5 The accommodations team already did reviews recently for those who WFH on accommodations and the reviews are good for a year. They were extremely strict and 2 people I know had to RTO. If the office cannot make the accommodation your Dr recommends they will still allow you to WFH. Accommodations are more likely if you work in a large office where the environment is more difficult to control.
If he’s still productive, no. Let’s retain him.
If he’s no longer productive, then we need to replace him. He likely has disability insurance so he will be just fine (that’s what it’s for).
well what if you have someone who is a great performer, gets a lot done, is highly certified in his field, and is permanently disabled? And it was all no problem until RTO? What then? Is that person a boomer? Is that person worthless? Should that person be thrown away?
(asking for a friend...)
They will be outsourcing both the FMLA and Medical Leave and yes Accommodations. They are going to review every 6 months to a year any accommodation for reapproval this is not meant to be long term accommodations.
Who cares. Anyone who files for accommodations is usually dead weight.
Not officially until Jan 1. They are WAY more strict than the internal team who previously handled accommodations, so hopefully the scammers will get weeded out and have to RTO.
