Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

A concerned employee

Are we still expecting a strike in the east coast next summer ? I’m sure new CEO would want to settle unless he will be very strict with negotiations

2.25 & 2.5% raises from ‘27 a ‘30. Nothing extra added for ‘26 raise of 3% already on books

No COLA

80% increase for Medical premiums over 4 years.

Unless those numbers change. Yes.

Assuming I survive tomorrow, I will happily scab. Nothing would warm my heart more than crossing the picket line as management and collecting the big fat paycheck on the other side.

CWA / IBEWagain?!

I was out on strike duty as a Management intern back in 1986 working in AT&T's inbound call center in Kansas City.

The more things change, the more they stay the same!

@a2 I’ve scabbed before and I’ll scab again (unless I’m RIF’d before the next strike)

Perfect time to strike. Government contracts due. Leadership is totally unprepared. Everything for the last 10years has been shoot from the hip long shots not thought out properly, mainly because of management bloat. New York cost of living increases. Chance of strike is way above 75%
