Verizon to cut about 15,000 jobs, source says: (Reuters) -Verizon (VZ) is planning to cut about 15,000 jobs, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday.
The layoffs, the largest ever for the wireless carrier and impacting about 15% of its workforce, are set to take place in the next week, the person said.
Verizon is following Sprint wireless lead and outsourcing wireless network operations to managed services contract- more to come.

You guys should just all come over to wire line, where they pay the managers to ask tons of questions... and when you ask them a question they have no idea what you're talking about...but they do know how to take attendance..and never get rif'd.
