I have a question I have over 40 years of experience as a meat cutter! When coming to Sam's club they didn't have a position available so I'm a floor partner they just had a meat cutter retire they offered me a meat cutting position. Ask about the pay they said around 18 to $19 an hour I thought Sam's club pay their meat cutters more than that. Especially if you have experience. I have five more years before I retire so I'm trying to make the most money I can for retirement. Grocery stores pay more money than that for meat cutters! Does anybody know if this is true or not can somebody please give some feedback!!

You are already hired… the pay rang is virtually irrelevant. You will get a flat 10% pay raise if meat cutter is higher pay grade then your current. Unless you’re current pay is lower with the 10% you will be just pulled up to what ever the base pay is..

Storm managers can use their own discrepancy meaning if they want to pay you more then $19 they can! Make yourself more viable for example if you know how to run the bakery or produce or rotisserie or HMS then you should be paid more money. my store we start $21.00 for meat cutter. I would love to have someone on my team that has 20 to 40 years experience you don't have to train them as much as someone that's new. I guess that manager or store manager doesn't see your value!
The pay is $19-$27. Get in there and sell yourself as being worth more $19 because you are. If they meet you halfway, thats a start. If they won't budge, see about cutting meat somewhere else. Honestly.
