Before you get on that call, you need to research Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA) review period. If you were over the age of 40, you have 45 days to review and sign the severance package. Advocate for yourself.

I never heard of OWDPA, but I still negotiated a better package on my own (with former employer). I refused to sign until I had a chance to speak with HR directly without my VP. Then I shared why I was contemplating suing the company.
I laid out my terms. HR went to the GM and came back with a counter offer/compromise.
My case may have been slightly unique though as I had the worst, most incompetent VP ever for my last 1.5 years at the company preceded by a long, successful career (documented).
AI suggested it could be used to negotiate a bit higher severance package. But no idea if that works in the real world. I'm sure Dell probably invests in some good lawyers to protect every penny.
Has anyone from Dell over 40 been able to use this?
I can not afford a lawyer (have more than one job just to stay afloat barely). So would like to use whatever tools I can in preparation.
@c5 Maybe your a victim of love
@c5 Good God, find a different AI engine.
I got the call today,
I didnt want to hear...
But I knew that it would come.
An old true friend of ours was talkin' on the phone
She said you found someone...(in India)
And I thought of all the bad luck, and all the struggles we went through.
How I lost me and you lost you
What are these voices outside love's open door
Make us throw off our contentment
And go hit the road for more?
@aa Our corrupt courts, corrupt federal govt, and corrupt Big Tech Corporations are all in bed together for big tax revenue. An employment lawyer will be useless.
Also, have an employment lawyer to help you navigate through the process. I've had a few friends with a lawyer ready to go and they said it was invaluable. You don't have to retain them, just have someone you can call when the time comes.
