Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Did I get this right?

Those who have gotten an offer, if they accept, they can still be refused? Is that true? What's the point then? I didn't get one, but if I did, man, I'd be pi---d.

I think it's to mitigate the possibilities of entire teams resigning at once. I have a friend who's an analyst somewhere in Quality. She told me that like 75% of her team is taking the VSP. I don't know how many people are on her team, but somehow I don't think that will fly.

@OP Are you part of a critical team or have you been with the company less than two years? If the latter, you aren't exempt from the Aug. cut, you aren't elig for the "advantageous" benefit being provided to those that received the offer.

Either way it su-ks! You risk VSP and get declined only to be picked later on.

If a team has 5 people, and all 5 take VSP, then of course CN would not allow all to leave. So yes, they can decline.. but I don't see this actually occurring.

It’s in the FAQ, yes it can be refused. The chance they would refuse VSP and then cut you afterwards is practically 0.
