Moral doesn't matter, Dan will cut thousands more in 2026. That's all that matters.

great ! just signed a 4 year deal. That fits perfectly in my timeline . I work in a place that nobody sees . Your day isn’t predictable. One minute you’re provisioning circuits or turning up fiber, the next you’re chasing down a trouble ticket that could impact thousands of customers. Its still a good job. I just don't agree with the new "metrics" ,Im trained to put out the fires, Customer 1st. They make it tougher on me and our customers now, with vast amounts of turf to cover. Co's are minimally manned . Often lacking circuit packs need or basic supplies. Most of the techs I work with are good, well skilled and knowledgeable. Very dependable .We all have well over 25 years and for most this is the last contract. We harbor no ill will towards our non union coworkers and often feel sorry for their working conditions. Wish everyone health and prosperity going forward.

The South Asian mafia has ruined this company.

It’s at an all time low in my department. We are working with a skeleton crew. A lot of people are assigned to tasks that they don’t know how to do (and no one else does either). Additionally, there is no hope of moving to another department, because there are no internal job openings. I pray I’m on the RIF list.

I feel great about the stock price! Getting rid of all the dead weight and overlap was long overdue. They didn’t get all the lazies yet, but I hope the next round will finally weed out the low performers.

I’m honestly pretty fired up right now watching what’s starting to happen at Verizon Communications under Dan Schulman. It finally feels like there’s real momentum—like the company is moving with purpose again instead of just holding ground. If this early traction turns into sustained execution, we could be looking at a genuine turnaround and a much more profitable future. That’s something worth paying attention to.

Uncertain future, no career progression, good colleagues disappearing, a leadership that thinks technology will solve all its problems means morale is taking a battering

Gemini tells me morale is about as low as it’s ever been but to be positive as it can’t get any lower…then again Gemini does hallucinate so perhaps it can. 2025 and 2026 are going to be remembered as the years of RIFS and collateral resignations. Stock price may have risen a little but the knowledge base and talent is in steep decline. Nobody believes in this company right now

If you define a positive culture as an environment where you operate in fear of losing your job daily, have a leadership team that speaks but does not say anything, middle management operating with no plan or guidance, a large part of your company is outsourced so you cannot partner with them to better the business, and competing with 2 other carriers that are kicking your a-s, this place rocks!

On edge all the time from leadership and layoffs... a once stable employer prior to 2020 is now a roulette wheel and your hoping it doesn't hit your number yet. Personally my resume, portfolio, and references are good to go. So I'm ready for whatever Casino Verizon has in store for me.
