Hey guys, I’m just trying to get a feel for the overall take of the position that was offered to me. Long-standing experience in banking, but the last seven years in payment processing. Anything I should be aware of? Be candid my friends - I’d appreciate it!

Great coworkers, higher than average salaries. But they are actively trying to get people to resign. They brought in forced stacked rankings this year to manage people out. So the culture here has taken a huge nose dive.
@ba "it feels like the company is trying to make people quit." When the CEO is going on the financial networks openly saying they want to lose thousands of people by attrition as much as as possible, I would say its more than a feeling.
It comes down to where you are now, how you’re compensated and whether you’re happy there. The culture here is bad. It feels like the company is trying to make people quit. But on the flip side, the salary is generally higher than elsewhere, the benefits are fantastic and most of the people are nice.
@at if you are looking for compassion or justification, don't post here. This is the Layoff Board, and most people here are upset with Wells Fargo. Happy or content employees are a minority here, which makes sense - those who are greatly impacted need a place to vent; thus, they are here.
I just came over from Citi, which also has issues. None of the big banks are great places to work IMO.
Honestly, grass is not greener here. Would not move here at this point unless desparate.
You seem a bit naive even to ask this question. Maybe the place is perfect for you then.
Well they actually expect you to come to work at least three days a week so unless you want to work in a gulag you may want to look elsewhere.
@OP I don’t know where you’re coming from. And you may have a completely different experience here at Wells Fargo. But at the moment, it is a very toxic environment. All the way around.
I am in payments operations.. you have to say who is the direct manager or the skip level or who does the role roll up to... is this related to payment transformation ? one thing for sure.. toxic people..
