Several Coworkers who were laid off last year are still unemployed so if you can coast for another year - do it.

@2xj …and not to mention all of the ID Theft that will occur as a result of using all these AI vendors, like Cognizant, Infosys, etc. Just watch! Someday there will be Frontline specials about this fiasco, just like with the Mortgage fiasco.
@b5 When catastrophic mistakes occur, and someday they will, Health Insurance corporations think they will be able to this behind “”Oh, AI mistook that” or “oh, that was a vendor we hired and the mistake is there fault.”
Nope, the lawyers will come after the health insurance corporations and eventually the members and news media will cry foul as to why are we using AI for such important work that requires a human’s critical thinking skills that can handle the nuances of the non-standard situations that occur more often than anyone realizes.
@cq who said you can cancel your VSP? Are you in corporate or one of the plans? No one I know or has been told they could cancel.
What a d-mb post smh
@OP we were told we could cancel our VSP and stay. I'm keeping mine and still happy about my choice to leave. No regrets and not worried about getting another job.
All the jobs are gone. Health insurers rarely announce layoffs by citing specific software. Instead, they frame software implementation around "auto-adjudication" and operational efficiency. The Goal of Software: Platforms like TriZetto are designed to increase a health plan's auto-adjudication rate—meaning claims are processed, edited, and paid entirely by the system without a human ever looking at them. The Impact on Roles: Cognizant has documented case studies where its automated workflows and robotic process automation (RPA) reduced manual data processing workloads by 50%
Did you think Centene was the only company using Cognizant and TriZetto AI? Those jobs and job categories are GONE.
Layoffs are hitting again in December, centene always layoffs before holidays
Jobs are leaving us soil at an alarming rate . Something needs to be done or else everything is going to be outsourced
@aa exactly. I was rif in may but had applied to another internal position before i was told of layoff plans. I got laid off, interviewed the week after my last day, got the job and was back in another dept with higher pay in july. My new team is hiring new positions not even backfills in all this. I think ill be ok.
@a1 Go S.A.D
Didn't take VSP. Am a C9 here. Everyone thinks they have experience and will ultimately be fine after a few months.
Logging all of my applications:
- In 2021, I was landing an HR+ Interview at a rate of ~1/40 Applications.
- In 2024, I was landing an HR+ Interview at a rate of ~1/75 Applications.
My last HR+ interview was early 2025. The job market is abysmal. I understand you may be completely burned out here, but walking away without something lined up - be prepared to be on the sidelines for a while.
builtin.com has good job listings.
Lots are remote, too.
1) Super late - decisions have been made, and we're all locked in now.
2) It's hard, but there are jobs out there. LinkedIn is awful, but that's where they seem to be.
3) This place is taking a toll on so many people's mental health. The paycheck isn't worth it for many of us.
Ummm where have you been? Little too late now! I am sure we all thought long and hard on our decision before we made it!
@OP depending on job skill though..a lot of coworkers took vsp and have already found jobs…some lucky enough to start in October so they have a nice month of necessary downtime.
Well, it’s a bit too late for that advice, considering that people who have taken the VSP already have their last day on Friday.
A bit too late for that now, innit?
