@151 Who is "our team"?
This is a long rollout of layoffs. They have planned this to last many many weeks. Leaders have been told how many heads they need to cut and are aware of the number they need to hit. I was told the dollar amount is over 600 MILLION and that no one on our team should count on having a job by thanksgiving.
Seems quiet this week. Leaders have been in “workshops” whatever that means… I think there is ongoing re-org work and decisions being made because I’ve heard there’s more to come but not sure who and when
Don't ask this question on a website where everyone is obsessed with being laid off. You're going to drive yourself insane with confirmation bias. Only a few people know and and then some information leaks and everyone thinks their jobs are going to be eliminated. If you have concerns ask your leadership and document it. If you are really concerned start your job hunt.
Whatever will or won't happen with layoffs is completely out of your control, so just let go and do whatever makes you feel best on the weekends.

Socialize
Exercise
Shop
Run Errands
Spend time with your pets/loved ones
Go Outdoors
Eat good food
Get sufficient rest
Pray/meditate/connect with God
Be at peace with yourself and others
There is nothing you can do to stem the tide of the AI/outsourcing takeover, so just go with the flow. Prepare as best as you can, but don't let the fear and concern bleed over into your weekends. Use this time to disconnect from the chaos, unwind, and decompress. There will be plenty of opportunity to get right back onto the struggle bus via angst overload come every Monday morning.
