Feeling appreciated?

What a lame event… super forced. if anything, feeling more demotivated than ever to stay at this company / readying my resume to get outta here. The lineup of cars leaving campus at 3pm are all likely in agreement.

Nike's Middle Management

Here is a question for folks that have experience outside Nike. What's your opinion on Nike's middle management if compared to other companes where you worked at? I am not fishing for info or trolling, I am not looking for names are trashing of mgmt... — read more

Just do better

What the ELT is doing right now is clearly not working. I’m not the only one who went from loving his job to hating it with a passion. Things need to change around here and I wish somebody at the top would realize it before too many good people leave... — read more

Here comes the covid

Are we supposed to pretend covid isn’t happing? My team is getting hit hard and we already are getting the “well we have to get this meeting in” guilt trip… Hate to say it but this was all very predictable. Leadership doesn’t have the guts to... — read more

Growing a career here

I have no complaints for now. Compared to my previous job, Nike is a fantastic place to work. The only thing that worries me is that many are already telling me not to count on growing a career here. Is that true? I’ve always thought Nike is a... — read more

Covid runs rampant

The number of meetings I had canceled this week because people who have returned to campus are now out with covid is RIDICULOUS. Will Nike acknowledge it? No. Do anything about it? No.

Great pretenders

The main reason I loved working from home so much was because I didn’t have to watch all the pretenders in the office. Who wants to be around while they are making themselves appear competent and useful while being neither? I guess no one. And... — read more

Nobody can consider themselves safe

I've been here long enough to have seen people on all levels (outside of the ELT, of course) be shown the door. I've seen people shaken to their core because they honestly didn't see it coming. I felt sorry for them but I also had trouble... — read more

Does anyone actually like their job?

Do people on this board actually like their job (albeit, we all have things we don’t like I.e returning to the office in my case). Or is everyone just plain miserable? It means different things when someone who is miserable posts and comments vs... — read more

Nike Tech is buckling

Attrition is continuing to rise. Why the lies from above that our attrition is normal? It's not normal. Morale is lower than low. No one wants to be back in the office. Get it over with and just chip us so you know where we are at all times. ... — read more

Back on campus

Employees who are dissatisfied and frustrated about returning to the office are unproductive employees. Why do I think Nike will quickly regret that decision?

Layoffs in 3, 2, 1…

Everyone been following recent earnings for Adidas and Under Armour? Both companies got HAMMERED on account of the fact China has essentially been closed for a few months. It’s not just China though. Increased transportation and wage costs are taking... — read more

Good ideas not being heard

Why does Nike no longer seem to want to hear good ideas? Often times great ideas coming from employees are being ignored. Those same employees then go to a competing company and progress very quickly. When I first started working here, employees'... — read more

Day one commute included

50th anniversary

The company’s milestone is a great occasion to celebrate the contributions of past and current employees. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to me that Nike appreciates anyone's contributions. I expected that celebrating the 50th anniversary would... — read more

How to succeed at Nike

Moving up = popularity contest

Expectations are growing

I am happy to have a job doing what I really love and that is why initially I saw high expectations from employees as a challenge. But now I think Nike is starting to take things too far with its very high expectations from their employees. - How... — read more

Admin expectations

I'm hearing that it's illegal to have hourly admins work over eight hours a day? Is that true? I know I'm expected to work until about 10pm and start at around 7am. Is that normal? I'm new to Nike. Did I make a mistake on taking this job?

Pay increase... In line with Inflation?

I wonder what will happen at year end? Will our pay increase track against inflation which is currently at over 8%? What increase will nike pay out? will we get an increase.???? 5 - 3% aint gonna get it done!!

Bonus

Does anyone know what I will miss out on as far as bonus goes if quit on June 1st (bonus eligibility for the year required staying through May 31st) instead of waiting till the bonus is in the bank this summer?

Constant reorgs

I would really like to find a job in a company that doesn’t have as many reorgs as we do here. Why all these reorgs? Is anything getting better after each reorg? I don't think so.

Identity Crisis

I've had 4 titles and 4 managers in Tech in the last 2 years. This is not normal.
