Remote employee layoff

I was notified today that I'll be terminated by the end of July if I don't relocate closer to one of the sites. I'm a fully remote employee. Just passing along the info for others to be aware.

Was Grovian Culture Overrated?

When the company had the luck, everything it did was awesome. Intel has always been empty in technology. Its people didn't know anything and relied on squeezing the vendors. It has this middleman culture of "leveraging" your coworkers, calling them... — read more

On-Site Services still not impacted?

Glad to know we still have a few amenities at the larger sites like.. Banking, Medical Clinic, Dental, Optical, FedEx.. Will these continue or get cut?

What happened to Intel?

Not an employee or troll and really want why is Intel struggling? Can you put your finger on a particular event or it’s just a multiple of factors?

Where’s the progress?

What is the Fab team doing? Nothing improves. Delay, delay, delay, and the yield is not what was expected after so much urgency. You guys just can’t deliver, can you? Maybe if Intel Fab was built somewhere in Taipei, we might already be in HVM mode... — read more

Skill Matrix criteria

LBT is a chump

He’s like every other ceo for the past 20 years. A clueless egotistical chump who’s more in it for the quarterly earnings and their subsequent bonus than the long term viability of the company or its employees. Destined to fail with this guy no... — read more

Long timers

Anyone here for 10+ years have seen it all. Layoffs after layoffs, poor leadership and management, CEOs come and go, no vision, poor salary and raises - but still continue to stay and not leave. What does that tell anyone about the company and these... — read more

Intel is in a death spiral

There is no recovery. No one is keeping their job. Most of you are never going to find another job. Yes AI is that good. If you don't realize it already it is too late for you to change course.

Looking forward to being laid off

I don’t mean to sound crass, it’s just that I can’t keep doing this anymore. It’s going to take a very long time for Intel to stabilize and actually start making meaningful progress, if it ever does. It’s been dragging on for too long, and I’m simply... — read more

Contractors already being told their last day

The contractor I work for assigned to Intel already announced job cuts for about 2/3 of the team. I'm guessing Intel managers are cutting contractors hard hoping it saves their own jobs when Intel cuts their own managers, but it might not even be... — read more

Ode to Workers

Talkers ran Intel into the ground. The so called “Architects” and PEs of untenable and risky software projects and hardware designs with no defined customer base or margin expectation, have let their pride run roughshod over sound judgment leading to... — read more

For those who make it through this round.

Are you thinking about sticking around, or are you already working on an exit plan from the company? Just curious—my husband and I both worked at Intel until last year (we’re in Oregon, by the way), so we’ve been through a bit of what you’re probably... — read more

New Door

I am sorry for whoever will get let go. It could be me too. I hope new doors open for you all as this current toxic door closes.

Marketing gone?

Hearing about full outsourcing of marketing? How do these dimwitted execs expect to keep the company afloat with the stock sh-t mktg sure to come from an Accenture. They brought it in house removing to an incompetent set of losers with a silly name... — read more

Keeping any fabs

For instance would D1 stay since its the development fab? or would that also be split off under restructuring? If that happens would the already short staffed fabs be trimmed further or just replaced with GBs?

My time here is up

After 2 years I have been told the entire team will be eliminated. Legal fwiw. It was good but not entirely sad. If not for this i would have procrastinated my job search. Adios everyone

Fab Closures

Will any Fabs close or be mothballed until more customers/demand occurs? It is cheaper to run 2 fabs at 80% utilization than 3 at lower utilization rates say at 53%

Levels between CEO and last level IC

The talk (as most of you know) is that the max levels between an IC and CEO is expected to drop to 5 instead of 7 (which is the current case). Does this "5" including the IC and the CEO, which means (three middle managers) or excluding the IC and... — read more

Been informed that our org will do notifications next Monday and Tuesday. Some may be walked out, some allowed to work for a while.

Stock down good bit

Stock is a good bit down in the last two days. Seems like market has got wind of the unaffordable exit packages. I don't know when it dawns on management that they are running a business, not a charity!
