I Don't Feel Bad

I don't work for COP. I don't work in the energy sector at all. I do live in eastern Oklahoma, so I've had to watch for several years as a bunch of high school dropouts rode around in $70,000 trucks on the oil field cash they were making while I paid... — read more

Layoffs are happening TODAY in Bartlesville. Meetings scheduled for just after noon. Extra security and HR being brought in. Just a heads up. Info comes from a memo left on a printer a little too long.

I hate to say this, but...

ConocoPhillips is 'handling' my layoff appropriately. Of course, I believe it was stupid to let me go in a business sense, and it has harmful consequences on my life and my family, but compared to what happened in some other oil companies, they... — read more

Save COP Cash Suggestion Box

WTI @ $34

WTI @ $34. ConocoPhillips is $26 per barrel short of $60 per barrel break even. $1.5 billion per month loss.

Missed out

I wanted to volunteer to get laid off in October but I was pretty sure it would have been denied. Nobody in our group got laid off. I had another job that paid almost what I get now. It would have been a nice bonus if it would have worked out.

2016 VCIP

To the folks still at COP, drop a line here in regards to the 2016 VCIP when some new info comes out. I know the chances of getting any sort of bonus next year is slim to none.

COP is circling the drain, a company that wants to compete with smaller independents but conducts it business as a major.

Problem here is, what does COP want to be when they grow up? They don't know, we are so engrained with our over the top safety crap and our long ass boring meetings that nothing gets done. What a frickin disaster. I am convinced that there is no... — read more
