Revenue Director Experience (Or lack there of)

The Revenue Accounting Director has absolutely no experience in Revenue. He spends most his time su-king up to GL and meeting in Creekside. This guy wouldn’t last a day at any other company in Revenue accounting. Everyone in Revenue and Accounting... — read more

Welcome interns!

Welcome to Chesapeake. You will learn so many valuable things this summer. Like how to "work from home" (aka play golf but answer an email every hour or so). And you will see how professionals do a mass layoff. Maybe a couple times while you are... — read more

Tisk Tisk

Looks like I won’t have the option to come to OKC, but instead will be in Houston. Word around the coffee pot is the banks intent is to make Houston the main office and eventually close down and sell the OKC campus. In the long run this will be good... — read more

Sinking Ship

It’s easier to find a job while you have a job. This ship is going down (with or without SWN merger) and everyone will be affected at that point which will saturate the field. Would’ve been a great place for an OIL & gas company!

Nick, you need to pop a blue chew!

The stock is going limp and you need to er--t it back up above the $90 mark. Pop a blew chew and keep our stock standing tall.

This has nothing to do w/ Eagle Ford

These layoffs have nothing to do w/ the divestiture of Eagle Ford assets and everything to do with the upcoming merger with SWN. The company is simply using this opportunity to avoid the larger severance packages they will be required to give out... — read more

Not sure what we expect

The HR department, for the most part, is inexperienced, especially leadership. They don’t know how to properly conduct a layoff that is professional and respectful. Good luck everyone. I really mean that.

6-21 LAYOFFS

So it begins... Sit and wait for phone call.. May the odds ever be in your favor..

Real question

Has this company always been so negative and toxic? That’s all that is on these postings. A select few VPs are consistently called out and apparently there is a history with some people that are no longer around. Just curious what I have got myself... — read more

Congrats Nick

You got the stock up past the $90 twice in the last month. I see your still struggling to keep it up in more ways that once though!

Leadership changes

Announced yesterday - one Chk senior leader doesn't survive the merger. Now we will hear about vp level. Who survives and who doesn't?

CHK equals a clown car

Not the title you are thinking but rather all you clowns with a sense of entitlement. The purchase of SWN is next level genius and will vault our stock to mid $100s by year end. Best part we will see CHK > SWN layoffs to get rid of the entitlement... — read more

Will CHK survive 2024?

Are you confident in corporate leadership? Haynesville leadership? Marcellus leadership? A rudderless ship.

What a week already

This week has been a true delight. We all got some cool shades to observe the sun & moon interaction and enjoy some late afternoon snacks and downtime. Nothing better than coming to work and collaborating over breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee... — read more

Busted!!!

The money hounds are after you Nick the nDick. Move it , twist it, shake it and pull it but real non biased auditors will Bop-it.

Thanks Nick

Right at a year ago Nick made a public statement telling everyone how great CHK was and how our stock was poised to be above $100 a share. Here we are a year later and we continue to struggle to hurdle the $90 mark. Great advice Nick! Glad we... — read more

Who could have predicted?

I am in absolute awe as I hear the stories of 40’ Christmas trees being hauled in from the east coast, $1M contracts to install Christmas lights, F5 rated data center, thirsty Thursdays at the fountain, four restaurants and multiple Starbucks, giving... — read more

Schwenn is here to win

As we get to start to see inside of this glass house, there is no mystery of why this place is in shambles. You all keep acting and spending like you are financially stable, but this place is one bad deal away from another forced RIF. I see now why... — read more

Are we really stuck with those id--ts post merger

Seriously are we gonna get stuck with a bunch of id--ts or SWNidoits when we already have way to many here in OKC. Yes there is such a thing called CHKidiots. Asking for all the hardworking guys at the well site.

Memory lane

Who remembers the mantra of How goes STX, so goes the Company”? Well, there is one statement where they spoke the truth. Spreading positive vibes one day at a time.

Whose house is it?

Is it the house of CHK (losers) or house of SWN (winners and e and p geniuses). Ssshhh. Let ya in on a secret it’s actually neither. It’s a house of FAILURES so says the street and then o and g industry.

What a joke

The Chesapeake name has been a joke for sooo long. Continuous layoffs, encouraging their own employees to purchase their stock knowing they were going to file bankruptcy, unethical practices of putting people in roles simply because of their gender... — read more

What is the new name of the company?

I heard it was Enron II. If this is true, I really think this name fits the company's values ( or lack there of) and business plan going forward. Congrats on the new name that the shareholders that lost millions will appreciate.

Major Announcement says a bird on a wire

To placate all the whiners in OKC and Houston. Management is gonna do mass layoffs. Keep the best of the best and relocate to Dallas to start anew. So says a bird on a wire

We got outplayed

Was reading SWN layoff board. Someone posted that Bill W is a genius and next level CEO. Our board got out played by SWN. Translation is layoffs are gonna be plenty.

The recent layoffs should be an indication that we are not about to acquire anything. There were several let go last week along with a few more this week. This place has completely lost its luster and is just a place to draw a check at this point. — read more
