Incompetent narcissists surround themselves with incompetent sycophants for the ego st-----g, security and inflated self-worth. Safety be darned as anything that can be perceived as critical of their diminutive intelligence is squashed and competent professionals are a threat to the facade.

The manager that was famous for continuously violating the two barrier policy, zero barriers for this well, was promoted to VP. That's pretty Fooked Up.

Imagine that! Management tried to cover up any of their wrong doings and blame this on the contractors and even immediately distance themselves from their company man who they claim is a contractor even though they 100% provide them daily direction.

Incompetence runs deep in Chesapeake. All the management involved are totally incompetent and believe it or not, still employed. All the while they ran off all the experienced folks.

This is insane. Complete lack of understanding of well control and barriers and not a “well, stuff happens” excuse. Absolutely no reason for this to happen in this day and age especially after what the industry went through after Macondo. Borderline criminal negligence.
