Will Cheryl make the next announcement…

Will they leave Cheryl to make the announcement this time while the rest of the roaches hide in the back out of camera range?? I remember the look on her face reading from her legal approved script that went through 20 revisions….she looked like she... — read more

Sad

This company let me go at a time that was critical in my career, professionally, personally and financially. All these new and existing employees do not think this can happen to them. I didn’t either. I was successful my entire career with... — read more

Biggest challenges Allstate faces nowadays

One of the biggest challenges Allstate faces nowadays is how to find employees who are cheap, work efficiently with quality and are ready to invest themselves in this company. That is a fact. Any thoughts on what are the other big challenges?

Do you have “cut rate coverage”

It is so ironic that Allstate now longs to be the “cut rate coverage” that their ads warned consumers about for years…… The only thing that I fear is ever being hit by someone insured by this monstrosity and have to give up my first born to received... — read more

Moving jobs overseas

Moving jobs overseas may have some positive effects on the company in the short term. I can't even imagine how big those savings are. However, in the long run, I think this strategy will result in a major disaster. I'm pretty sure of that. However... — read more

Tom and Glenn do care.

They care about shareholder profit first, but ultimately they do care about the employees and their ability to take care of their of their families. They aren’t that cold hearted

Will jobs come back to the USA?

With the global conflict in full swing and with India’s support not aligned with the USA, will Tom and Glen bring the jobs back to the homeland ?

Massively disorganized

I don't understand how we're not losing more money considering how disorganized Allstate is. All the management is doing is attempting to maintain the status quo by making sure employees work against each other instead of with each other and ignoring... — read more

Don’t get burnt

Don’t get burnt because it’s not worth it. It is better to save energy and nerves for another company. I feel really bad when I see my colleagues who are completely burned, but still work somehow. I am almost certain that more than 70% of Allstate... — read more

Return to office

Now that covid 19 is winding down and president Biden has said he wants workers to return to office, does anyone think we will go back? Any rumors or any office locations?

This company is a joke

An absolute joke. I don't understand how you can honestly tell your employees that by reinventing the wheel they should be rates as Expected. Do you want to set the precedence for your company to become stagnant/complacent, then keep doing what you... — read more

"All Hands on Deck" meeting on 3/22/2022

Uh oh. This is how it ALL started in April 2020. With this same type of meeting denying any layoffs on the table and then 60 days later announcing layoffs would happen. They are about a month earlier this go around.

The pressure is growing

It's getting worse here day by day. Is it possible that the management is not aware of the pressure on employees and that because of that pressure we are losing people who are not easy to replace? They don’t even seem to be aware that... — read more

I just hope it doesn't get any worse

Of course I’m not happy here, but since I still can’t get anything better, my only hope is that it won’t get worse here. I hope not. Otherwise, I would accept any other job and I would not be picky at all.

More layoffs coming to claims in 2022

Allstate Chair, President, and CEO Tom Wilson said the company’s expense reduction program is “well laid out” and “includes everything from using digital processes and getting rid of extra labor to using more outsourcing and cleaning up our processes... — read more

SCO (Legal)

A team has been created to work towards Answer automation. If you work in Legal, you know what that is. Anyone know if this means they are working to get rid of paralegals/admin and automate their jobs? Seems like this would be challenging, but many... — read more

Making more after returning?

Companies don't care about you, they never will. I have seen several of my coworkers go to other companies with most going to Progressive and Geico. They have realized that it is just as bad there as it is at Allstate. A few came back last month and... — read more

I would love for Allstate to get back on track

Good leadership, or good decisions, could do wonders and fix this mess. However, it seems that this is no longer possible and that it is too late to get this company back on track?

Comp statements out. How were bonuses for those eligible?

Phoenix? Phoenix.

All the postings for Phoenix on the allstate.jobs site are for director- or VP-level positions. What's up with that?

Don't let any company rob you of your spirit!

Here’s a story about my former colleague. He worked here for years and always pushed himself to perform to the best of his abilities. He was one of those guys who lived for his job, always loyal to Allstate. And then he got laid off. None of our... — read more

Allstate isn’t competitive in rates or pay

I work for a competitor and get a sick satisfaction when droves of customers keep coming to us because Allstate jacked their rates up. We all knew the pay is a joke.

Home of substandard claim handling

I came here after working for two other carriers and I am astounded at how many processes are in place to simply write coverage. It seems as though this is by design to drag the claims out. On top of that , the required production is nowhere near... — read more

Claims leaders

It seems the new style CSL’s have been extremely under qualified “yes” types only. Not skilled or Knowledgeable leaders at all. My whole area of the country has noticed this new direction. Are they trying to sink this ship faster???

Where is the DOI

The way we handle claims is bad faith on a daily basis! Where/when will the DOI step in and protect the customer!? It is maddening that a company this size is allowed to operate this way. I literally see or hear bad faith claim handling on a daily... — read more
