Can anyone think of why someone, somewhere, would leave (obviously) fake positive employee reviews on websites like Glassdoor and Indeed? They have titles like "serious ground transportation" and "great place to work" with four or five stars. Clearly... — read more

When a company is doing this well, there shouldn’t be this kind of laying off
I am an agreement job holder as well. I do not think I’m entitled to a job. What I think is when a company is doing very well as Union Pacific is there shouldn’t be this kind of laying off. While I think there are bad performing employees in all... — read more

Make up your mind UP, are we essential or not??
UP wants to furlough or drive us to quit because there are too many of us, but if we try to take a vacation day they act like the railroad will come to a grinding halt and the sky will fall if any of us lay off. Which is it? Do you love us and need... — read more

Why does everyone think they are entitled to a job?
I am an agreement employee but I realize that UP doesn’t owe me or anyone else a job. The agreements deal with working conditions not employment numbers. Anyone who has worked outside the railroad would tell you that there isn’t any company who is... — read more
Furloughs continue, but we can't strike?

Of course, I’m being sarcastic. We all know very well that there will be no benefits. This question basically asks how long are they going to keep the lie going. The truth is that they started letting people go a long time ago and a lot of what their... — read more
