If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Thomson Reuters layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?
No severance
Are people really being laid off without severance? This is the first time I've heard about this and now my anxiety and stress level are about twice as bad as they were. It's one thing to be laid off with severance. It's bad, but at least you have... — read more
Fired and manager doing the fire gets a large bonus as a result
Got fired and was told by my manager doing the firing that part of their bonus is determined by the headcount reduction and cost of replacements.
Just laid off
Literally sobbing. After being told I was so valued by TR, I receive notice that I am being terminated. My position will be back filled via Change Pgm outsourcing. There will be no severance for my team. Worked my a-s off for this company over... — read more
‘Business Update’
I just got an unexpected teams meeting invite labeled ‘Business Update’ with just my manager and my manager’s manager. I’m getting laid off right? That’s what this is?
Laid off
Tis the season, and I've been tapped. I've been wary for years and am finally at peace. For someone who said to just resign: Unless you have a new job offer lined up for a steady revenue source, you would be losing out on the severance package... — read more
Larger Severance?
For those who have been let go before has anybody gotten a larger severance then the standard 2 weeks from TR?
Vaccine Mandate - time to get VAX'd or lose job w/o severance pkg?
How is NM going to handle the Federal / OSHA vaccine mandate? January 4th is right around the corner. I don't think the new mandate will allow working from home as being in compliance. Anyone with a brain new this was coming when only 58% of the... — read more
If you're determined to stand your ground, then quit
It'll send a message so you'd have achieved something rather than when being fired AND it'll mean fewer layoffs for the rest of us.
Biden vaccine mandate halted
The federal court of appeal temporarily halted Bidens vaccine mandate. How will TR respond to this?
How do you manage to do as little work as possible?
Many here boast that they only work the bare minimum. I keep wondering how I fail to work as little as possible because I have a lot of work to do every day that can't go unfinished?
It is sad what this company has become
It has never been more miserable working at TR. I’ve been here for a few years now, but this one was definitely the worst for me. I get depressed when I remember how it used to be and how it is now. From what is happening here now, I don't have much... — read more

So many complaints, so little action
You're not happy at TR, I get that. You basically have two choices. You can stay here and continue to be miserable every single day of your life or you can leave now that the job market is for the first time completely favoring workers and find a... — read more
Donde esta DW LinkedIn post?
While celebrating mental health day I noticed that the post about Mexico was removed. I thought DW would be spending time preparing for the Product Blitz Days instead of playing censor.
Layoff vs. Fired due to the mandate
Is there a way to volunteer to be included in the annual layoff group instead of waiting to get fired due to the vaccine mandate? All those years spent dodging the bullet maybe wasn't a blessing after all.

You got fired because your work sucked. Look at the state of the products...
A customer even posted here complaining about the products sucking. You should all realize, collectively, that you did a poor job. Unfortunately many kiss a-s managers and directors got to keep their cushy jobs. And this is not to say that... — read more
Feeling of high school all over again?

Vaccine Mandate communication
Coming out tomorrow - so expect more attrition in the US with no backfills. Required vax by late November/efficacy December - per Federal policy. Maybe that will alleviate some of the layoffs coming soon.

I know this does not have to deal with layoffs but not t is TR related.

Is there any reason to think that this October will be different?

Would you leave without severance pay for just a slightly better job?
Those who don’t expect it and try to keep the job seem to be laid off. On the other hand, I wish to be on the layoff list - and I am not. Though reluctantly, it looks like I’ll have to leave without severance pay even though I’ve been squeezed here... — read more

Customer Town Hall this week
Am I the only one who thought that BP should have put on a coat and tie for a Customer Town Hall? If we have an attorney in a coat and tie giving us "feedback," shouldn't one of our top executives try to not look so sloppy?
Feedback for TR Management

Only those who go with the flow are satisfied here
